At about 0818 UTC on Wednesday 12th July 2023, I tuned in to Hobart Radio International broadcasting in the English language on 5850 kHz.

Hobart Radio International is a shortwave community service relayed across the globe via Shortwave and FM in New Zealand.

Ifrikya FM – 15110 kHz

At about 0746 UTC on Wednesday 12th July 2023, I tuned in to Ifrikya FM broadcasting in the French language on 15110 kHz.

Ifrikya FM which translates to African FM in French, is an Algerian public radio station. It was inaugurated on the 3rd day of May 2003, on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day. Its objective is to give a voice to African listeners, with the slogan “The African voice”. 

The overall reception of Ifrikya FM was good.

WMLK, USA – 15150 kHz

At about 0658 UTC on Wednesday 12th July 2023, I tuned in to WMLK, USA, broadcasting in the English language on 15150 kHz.

WMLK is a shortwave radio station in Bethel, Pennsylvania owned by the Assemblies of Yahweh. The station derives its callsign from MLK, representing the consonants of the Hebrew word “malak” meaning a “messenger” or angel.

The broadcast was coming from the Bethel 250 KW transmitter.

The overall reception of WMLK was excellent.
