Bicycle mobile contacts into the UK
I regularly speak to Dave G4AKC, Steve G4NVF, and others in the United Kingdom who operate bicycle mobile, pedestrian mobile, or backpack mobile.

A new country – EL2EF in Liberia
A few days ago on 28th August 2023, I managed to work a new DXCC entity. It was Eric EL2EF operating from Liberia on the west coast of Africa.

Eric was not at all strong. I was beaming on the ‘long path’. I didn’t think that Eric would hear me, but he did, and we made contact.

CNR8 – 5975 kHz
At about 1025 UTC on the 3rd day of September 2023, I tuned in to China National Radio CNR8, broadcasting in the Korean language on 5975 kHz.
The broadcast was coming from the 100kW Beijing transmitter site.
The overall reception of CNR8 was fair.

Reach Beyond Australia – 15460 kHz
At about 1227 UTC on the 27th day of August 2023, I tuned in to Reach Beyond Australia, broadcasting in the English language on 15460 kHz.
The program consisted of religious programming.
The overall reception of Reach Beyond Australia was excellent.

Texas Radio Shortwave – 15770 kHz
At about 1200 UTC on Sunday the 27th day of August 2023, I tuned in to Texas Radio Shortwave, USA, broadcasting in the English language on 15770 kHz.
The program consisted of music from the Big Bang Music Festival.
The overall reception of Texas Radio SW was good.

Channel 292, GERMANY – 9670 kHz
At about 0505 UTC on the 22nd day of August 2023, I tuned in to Channel 292, GERMANY, broadcasting in the Dutch ? language on 9670 kHz.
The program consisted of pop music.
The overall reception of Channel 292 was fair. There were moderate static crashes on the band from local storms here in Australia.

Radio Habana – 6000 kHz
At about 1125 UTC on the 21st day of August 2023, I tuned in to Radio Habana, CUBA, broadcasting in the Spanish language on 6000 kHz.
The broadcast was coming from the 250kW Titan Quivican transmitter in Cuba.
The overall reception of Radio Habana was fair. There was interference from China National Radio CNR1 broadcasting on the same frequency in the Chinese language.

Radio Voz Missionaria – 5939 kHz
At about 0938 UTC on the 20th day of August 2023, I tuned in to Radio Voz Missionaria, BRAZIL, broadcasting in the Portuguese language on 5939 kHz.
The broadcast was coming from the 10kW Camboriu transmitter in Brazil.

The overall reception of Radio Voz Missionaria was poor. This was due to severe interference from WWCR broadcasting on 5935 kHz in the English language.

I also tried listening on their two other frequencies: 11750 kHz and 9665 kHz. Their 11750 kHz broadcast was totally unreadable due to Asian broadcast stations. Their 9665 kHz broadcast was readable, but only just. There was also a lot of Asian language interference there also.
