At about 0953 UTC on 12th May 2024, I tuned in to Australian VKA-930 VOLMET on 6676 kHz.
The purpose of a VOLMET broadcast is to provide weather information to aircraft in flight. The word VOLMET is derived from the French words “vol” meaning flight, and “météo” meaning weather. (SKYbrary 2024)
