At about 1259 UTC on the 22nd day of July 2024, I tuned in to Shan News Radio, broadcasting on 17720 kHz in the Burmese language.
The station is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand and has a target audience of Myanmar. The signal was coming from the Al Dhabbiya 250kW transmitter in the United Arab Emirates. (Short Wave Info 2023)

The overall reception of Shan News Radio was good. The signal strength was good, and there was only slight fading of the signal. There was no interference from stations on the frequency or adjacent frequencies. There was only slight atmospheric noise on the band.
