Denge Gel – 11545 kHz

At about 0732 UTC on Sunday, 10th day of August 2025, I tuned in to Denge Gel, broadcasting on 11545 kHz in the Kurdish language.

Denge Gel means ‘Voice of the People’. It replaced Denge Welat ‘Voice of the Homeland’ in September 2023, which had replaced Denge Kurdistane in October 2017. It was originally launched as Denge Mezopotamya in September 2012. The station broadcasts in support of ‘Parttiya Karkeren Kurdistane’ (PKK) – the Kurdistan Workers Party, which strives for the establishment of an independent state of Kurdistan, consisting of territories that are currently part of Eastern Turkey, Northern Iraq, Western Iran, and Northern Syria.

The broadcast was coming from the transmitter in Gavar, Armenia.

The overall reception of Denge Gel was fair.
