The broadcast was coming from the Tinang 250 kW transmitter in the Philippines.

The overall reception of VOA was good.

China Radio International – 15190 kHz

At about 1028 UTC on 28th February 2022, I tuned in to China Radio International, broadcasting in the English language on 15190 kHz.

The broadcast was coming from the Kunming-Anning 501 500 kW transmitter.

The program included The Beijing Hour and news on the Russia/Ukraine crisis.

The overall reception of CRI was excellent.

China Radio International – 5955 kHz

At about 1117 UTC on 24th February 2022, I tuned in to China Radio International, broadcasting in the English language on 5955 kHz.

The broadcast was coming from the Beijing 150 kW transmitter.

The program included a discussion on the Russia/Ukraine crisis.

The overall reception of CRI was good. There was a digital noise that came up on the frequency from time to time. There was some ‘bleed-over’ from China Radio international broadcasting in the Korean language on 5965 kHz. There were also moderate static crashes on the band.

Radio Educacion, MEXICO – 6185 kHz

At about 0827 UTC on 22nd February 2022, I tuned in to Radio Educacion, MEXICO, broadcasting in the Spanish language on 6185 kHz.

This was the second time that I had tuned in to Radio Educacion. The last time was in November 2021.

The broadcast was coming from the Mexico City 1 kW transmitter. The program consisted of various band music.

The overall reception of Radio Educacion was poor – fair. The static crashes on the band were loud and made listening difficult.
