At about 1004 UTC on Saturday 12th February 2022, I tuned in to China National Radio CNR13, broadcasting in the Uyghur language on 15390 kHz.
The Uyghurs are a Turkic ethnic group originating from and culturally affiliated with the general region of Central and East Asia. The Uyghurs are recognized as native to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in Northwest China. They are one of China’s 55 officially recognized ethnic minorities.
Below are two very interesting videos about the Uyghur’s.
The broadcast was coming from the Lingshi 725 100 kW transmitter in southwest central China.
The overall reception of CNR13 was good. The signal strength was fair-good and there was no interference from other stations.
