Furusato no kaze – 9705 kHz

At about 1332 UTC on 11th March 2022, I tuned in to Furusato no Kaze broadcasting in the Japanese language on 9705 kHz.

Furusato no kaze means ‘WInd from the homeland’. It is aimed at Japanese abductees in North Korea.

The broadcast was coming from the Paochung 300 kW transmitter in Taiwan.

The overall reception of Furusato no kaze was poor-fair. There was severe bleed over from CNR1 China on 9710 kHz. There was also an obvious jamming signal on the frequency.
