At about 1044 UTC on 13th March 2022, I tuned in to the Radio Taiwan International broadcasting in the Korean language on 7200 kHz.

The broadcast was coming from the Tamsui District 100 kW transmitter in Taiwan.

The overall reception of Radio Taiwan International was good. The signal strength was very strong, but there was an apparent jamming signal on the frequency, and also static crashes.

The broadcast was coming from the Emirler 500 kW transmitter south of Ankara in Turkey.

FEBC, or Radio Teos as it is known in Russia, has been broadcasting the Gospel by shortwave since the late 1940s.

The broadcast was coming from the Bocaue 100 kW transmitter in the Philippines.

The overall reception of FEBC was good.

Furusato no kaze – 9705 kHz

At about 1332 UTC on 11th March 2022, I tuned in to Furusato no Kaze broadcasting in the Japanese language on 9705 kHz.

Furusato no kaze means ‘WInd from the homeland’. It is aimed at Japanese abductees in North Korea.

The broadcast was coming from the Paochung 300 kW transmitter in Taiwan.

The overall reception of Furusato no kaze was poor-fair. There was severe bleed over from CNR1 China on 9710 kHz. There was also an obvious jamming signal on the frequency.

The overall reception of Thazin was fair. By 1057 UTC the broadcast had been completely blocked out by China Radio International broadcasting on the same frequency in Cantonese.
