Radio Mali – 5995 kHz

At about 1953 UTC on Wednesday, the 14th day of October 2026, I tuned in to Radio Mali, broadcasting on 5995 kHz in the French language.

The Republic of Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa. It is bordered to the north by Algeria, to the east by Niger, to the northwest by Mauritania, to the south by Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast, and to the west by Guinea and Senegal.

The broadcast was coming from the 50 kW Bamako transmitter site in Mali. This was their domestic broadcast.

The overall reception of Radio Mali was fair. There were static crashes on the band from local storms throughout Australia. There was no interference from other stations.
