At about 0810 UTC on the 27th day of July 2024, I tuned in to WTWW, broadcasting on 5085 kHz in the English language.

The program consisted of religious music.

The signal was coming from the Lebanon 100kW transmitter in Tennessee, USA. (Short Wave Info 2023)

The overall reception of WTWW was good.   The signal strength was good and there was only slight fading of the signal.  There was no interference from other stations on the frequency or on adjacent frequencies.

There were some static crashes on the band, but as the signal was so good, they did not significantly impact on listening pleasure.

At about 1220 UTC on the 26th day of July 2024, I tuned in to China Radio International, broadcasting on 17490 kHz in the English language.

Radio Free Europe – 15255 kHz

At about 1454 UTC on the 25th day of July 2024, I tuned in to Radio Free Europe, broadcasting on 15255 kHz in the Turkish language.

The overall reception of Radio Free Europe was fair.   The signal strength was fair. There was only slight fading of the signal and there was no interference from other stations on the frequency or on adjacent frequencies. There was moderate atmospheric noise on the band.

Radio NUG – 11940 kHz

At about 1403 UTC on the 25th day of July 2024, I tuned in to Radio NUG, broadcasting on 11940 kHz in the Burmese language.

The signal was coming from the Paochung 300 kW transmitter in Taiwan. (Short Wave Info 2023)

The overall reception of Radio NUG was fair.   The signal strength was good and there was only slight fading of the signal.  However, there was a strong buzzing noise similar to an Over the Horizon Radar on or just below the frequency. I am unsure if it was deliberate interference.

The overall reception of the Voice of Mongolia was excellent.   The signal strength was very strong and there was no fading of the signal.  There was no interference from other stations on the frequency or on adjacent frequencies.

At about 1305 UTC on the 25th day of July 2024, I tuned in to KSDA Guam, broadcasting on 12055 kHz in the Kachin language.

Kachin, also known as Jinghpaw is a Tibeto-Burman language spoken primarily in Kachin State, Myanmar; Northeast India; and Yunnan, China. (Wikipedia 2024)

The overall reception of China Radio International was excellent.   The signal strength was very strong and there was virtually nil fading of the signal.  There was no interference from other stations on the frequency or on adjacent frequencies. The band was also very quiet and there was no atmospheric noise.
