My CW learning is slowly coming along. I’m half way through the alphabet now. Garry VK2GAZ was kind enough to loan me a Kent paddle, and I think it’s time for me to return it. So yesterday I purchased a Begali Simplex Professional paddle from RF Solutions. They were very helpful and hopefully it will be in the post in the next day or so.
I’ve only had 2 CW contacts so far and they have been with Bill VK4FW whilst he has been activating parks.
I’m really looking forward to getting my CW up to scratch and having a lot more contacts.
SOTA and Parks QSOs follow a predictable pattern, it’s an easy way to get back into CW, hope to work you _._. .__ soon Paul.
Hi Paul,
Certainly looking forward to getting a few CW contacts in my log.
Cheers,
Paul VK5PAS.
Yes use one of these as well. They are a nice peace of kit in their own right. Built to last.
Hi Allen,
I was looking at a Kent paddle, but John VK5BJE pointed me in the direction of the Begali’s. They have very good reviews.

Hello Paul
I agree with the Victorian Paul. The format is similar and the contacts follow, more or less, a standard approach. I really do look forward to having a contact with you in the not too distant future. However, I try to vary each contact, using the other person’s name, giving the two call-signs (his/hers) and (mine) at the beginning and end of the contact as per the LCD and thanking the operator (it is practice on the air). It is all great fun.
Cheers

Hi John,
I’m missing out on so many SOTA & Parks contacts. That was my motivation to learning CW.
Cheers,
Paul VK5PAS.
Yes I also have one of those in the shack, very nice key.
I look forward to working you from a park one day soon.

Thanks Warren,
I hope to get you in the log one day soon with CW.
Cheers,
