At about 1042 UTC on 10th March 2022, I tuned in to Thazin Radio broadcasting in the ??? language on 9590 kHz.

The overall reception of Thazin was fair. By 1057 UTC the broadcast had been completely blocked out by China Radio International broadcasting on the same frequency in Cantonese.

At about 1310 UTC on 9th March 2022, I tuned in to Bible Voice Broadcasting Network broadcasting in the English language on 11590 kHz.

The broadcast was coming from Tashkent 100 kW transmitter in Uzbekistan. The broadcast consisted of a religious program from Brian Russell.

The broadcast was coming from Kumming-Anning 150 kW transmitter. The broadcast consisted of a discussion on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Global business program.

QSL card received from Radio Prague International.

In the past couple of days in the mail I received another QSL card from Reach Beyond Australia for my reception of their station on 25th January 2022 and 3rd February 2022.

Over the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March 2022, the 2022 ARRL DX Contest was held. The aim of the contest is for DX stations to make contact with W/VE stations.

Although I didn’t specifically compete in the contest, I did manage to make a total of 159 QSOs to the USA and Canada. The map below shows my contacts.

The majority of my contacts, a total of 116, were made on Saturday morning on the 10m band. Conditions on 10m into North America were brilliant.

At about 1109 UTC on 5th March 2022, I tuned in to Radio Vanuatu broadcasting in the Bislama ? language on 5040 kHz.

The broadcast was coming from Port Vila 2.5 kW transmitter.

The overall reception of Radio Vanuatu was fair. There were moderate static crashes on the band, and there was some interference from Bay Islands Radio on 5045 kHz.
